National Land Records Modernization Programme (NLRMP) को भारत सरकार ने 2008 में प्रारम्भ किया था। इसका उद्देश्य भूमि अभिलेखों को digitise और modernise करना तथा एक अधिक पारदर्शी और integrated land-record management system विकसित करना था।
इसके अंतर्गत मुख्य रूप से Record of Rights (RoR) का computerisation, cadastral maps का digitisation, registration का computerisation, land records और registration का integration, survey/resurvey तथा modern record rooms जैसे कार्य शामिल किए गए।
NLRMP ने भूमि अभिलेखों से संबंधित पहले की दो योजनाओं—
Computerisation of Land Records (CLR) तथा Strengthening of Revenue Administration and Updating of Land Records (SRA&ULR)—के प्रयासों को अधिक integrated framework में आगे बढ़ाया।
वर्तमान स्थिति
1 अप्रैल 2016 से NLRMP को पुनर्गठित करके Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) बनाया गया और इसे 100% Central Government funding वाले Central Sector Scheme के रूप में लागू किया गया।
DILRMP का व्यापक उद्देश्य land records को accurate, updated, digitised और citizens के लिए online accessible बनाना, land/property disputes कम करना तथा transactions में transparency बढ़ाना है।
