electronic commerce
single window financial transactions
single window for business inquiries
single window for approach to government services
Correct Answer: D
Detailed Solution
eBiz was a Government-to-Business (G2B) initiative of the Government of India designed to provide government services required by businesses and investors through a single-window online platform.
It was developed as a Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan, with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) serving as the principal government agency for its implementation.
The eBiz portal was launched on 28 January 2013.
The platform was intended to reduce the need for businesses to visit multiple government offices or websites. It was designed to provide business-lifecycle services such as—
licenses, permits, registrations, approvals, clearances, applications, payments and compliances
through a common online interface.
It was developed as a 24×7 online single-window system, and its scope was not limited to electronic commerce or financial transactions; its central purpose was to provide single-window access to Government-to-Business services.
