It covers approximately 74 square kilometres and is among the important coal-bearing areas of the Chotanagpur Plateau. The region primarily contains coal deposits of the Gondwana Period. Mining projects of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) operate in this region. Rajrappa and West Bokaro are also important coal-mining areas near Ramgarh.

4. Talcher — Odisha (Correctly Matched). The Talcher Coalfield is primarily located in Angul district, Odisha. It forms part of the Gondwana coalfields of the Mahanadi Valley and is one of India's important coal-producing regions. Coal mining in this area is primarily operated by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). Coal extracted from this region is mainly used for thermal power generation and various industrial activities.
