Previous Year Question

ABC Index stands for the Achievements of Babies and Children Index. It is intended to assess basic achievements and the overall well-being of children.

It is mainly based on four indicators—

Survival — proportion of children surviving up to the age of five.
Immunisation — proportion of children who are fully immunised.
Nutrition — status of children who are not underweight.
Schooling — proportion of children attending school.

The average of these four indicators is used to reflect the overall condition of children. Since it includes major health indicators such as child survival, immunisation and nutrition, it is associated with Health in the question.
