Assertion (A) is correct. India delivered the first batch of the BrahMos missile system to the Philippines on 19 April 2024. It was part of the Philippines' acquisition of the Shore-Based Anti-Ship Missile System.
The Philippines and BrahMos Aerospace had signed a contract worth approximately US $374–375 million in January 2022. Under the agreement, the Philippines was to receive three missile batteries, launchers and associated equipment.
Reason (R) is incorrect. The specification published by BrahMos Aerospace gives the flight range of BrahMos as up to 290 km. In 2024, a newer extended-range variant was also reported with a range of around 450 km.
